Meet the principal

Erin Quintana principal

​Welcome to Villalovoz Elementary School,

My name is Mrs. Quintana, as principal, I am proud to be part of the Villalovoz community.  Prior to becoming Principal I was a Vice Principal here at Villalovoz Elementary and Jacobson Elementary School. Prior to that I was a Vice- Principal at a K-8 school in Mountain House for two years.

Teams Training for Families

The Professional Learning and Curriculum Department in collaboration with the Microsoft Education Team are offering two virtual informational sessions to support parents and guardians with navigating Microsoft Teams.

These workshops will help parents/guardians assist their child while learning from home. These workshops are offered virtually on Saturday, November 7th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in English and again from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in Spanish. You can find the Teams meetings link for each session in the flyer.

We encourage you to communicate this information to staff and parents.

We will have procedures set in place for social distancing. Please follow these guidelines:

·       Only 1 adult may accompany the student into the cafeteria.

·       Masks are highly encouraged for children in Pre-K to 2nd grade but not mandatory.

·       All other grades and adults must wear masks until picture is taken, then wear mask again

·       Please follow signs regarding enter and exit.

REOPENING INFORMATION

At the October 20th special board meeting, the trustees voted to continue Distance Learning for all TUSD K-12 schools through December 18, 2020, and we look forward to reopening schools January 4, 2021.

POWER OUTAGE

Although the current power outages in San Joaquin County have not impacted our ability to provide online instruction at this time, we understand it could impact some students’ ability to access their online classes.

Teachers will be reaching out to their students with updated information and posting class materials online for students who are unable to attend their classes due to the power outages and students may be given extensions to complete their assignments.

With the current heatwave and the potential for future outages, we want to remind our students and families of the following tips to help you during the current or future outages.

PLEASE APPLY FOR FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH

Attention! TUSD requires a new meal application at the start of each school year.

UPDATE:  FREE MEALS TROUGH DECEMBER 31ST!!

With Distance Learning we will still be providing both breakfast and lunch, distributed curbside. Even though it is free through December 31st, we still need you to fill out your application today!

We will be serving grab and go meals curbside at all school sites except Stein.

Lunch pickup times will be from 11:30 - 12:30.

You may drive-thru or walk up. Students must be present with their ID number to scan. Meals include lunch and breakfast

Halloween Picture

On Friday October, 30th we will be doing a drive by Halloween Parade here at Villalovoz from 1:15-2:15. Some staff will be in front of the school office as families are welcome to drive through the carline and wave.

Parent Club Information

With the reopening update of January 4th, 2021 for all schools, if you would like to revoke your charter school application please email that communication to tracycharterinfo@tusd.net soon as possible. Call our office if you have any questions.

This message is from Tracy Unified School District Food Services Department notifying you that during distance learning, the district offers school meals to TUSD students who live in the Delta Islands area. Students must be present and have their scannable ID in order to record meals by their eligibility. Meal service is available Monday through Friday 11:30am-12:30pm at the following stops:

•Holt School Bus stop located at 1545 S. Holt Road

•Clifton Court at Sarale Farms Bus Stop located at 16500 Clifton Court Road

•Stark Road at Howard Road Bus Stop located at 9698 S. Stark Road.

Look for the School Bus.
